Hill Annual Report
Publication Design
Annual reports find their origin in corporate structures as an essential document in gauging the overall health of the company in a particular year. The target audience for an annual report spans current stakeholders, employees, management, and potential investors as well as the competition. This publication is a statement which is designed to speak with a confident voice, and ideally in line with the overall visual identity of the company it represents.
North Star
Digital Illustration
Final deliverable will be a brand identity and style guide for the chosen ‘client.’ We had flexibility with this—the branding is ultimately up to us. We could choose to mess around with uniform design or helmet design if we wanted; there was no agreed-upon standard. However, these are the elements we were asked to include:
-
Cover/Introduction
-
Overview of identity system
-
Logo
-
Primary logo
-
Secondary marks
-
-
Usage
-
Color usage (what colors did you use & why)
-
Typography (what typography do we use & why)
-
Integrity of the brand: “what not to do”
-
-
Mockups
Tarot Cards
Digital Illustration
We were asked to produce 4 final card designs of our choice. We could choose Major or Minor arcana. The only requirement is that if you choose a Pip Card ("the 3 of Wands," for example) that you fully illustrate the card, as is Tarot tradition. This project is very open when it comes to technique—the cards could be developed in vector software, raster software, or traditional media.
Seltzer Campaign
Advertising Design
Had to create a brand identity for an existing product or service and build a campaign around it that includes:
Indoor ads, Outdoor ads, mockups, Social media ads, and AR/VR example.
Personal Logos
Ethereal
Art Photography
For this project we had to find a model and work with them on composition and pick an overall "vibe" or feeling for the photo series. Then we had to take what we shot and manipulate the photo series in photoshop.
Portrait Study
Art Photography/ Independent Study
This course acted as an independent study guiding me through the creation of a small body of photographic work that will utilize experimental lighting techniques. Requirements:
Employ a basic understanding of the technical concerns of basic lighting in photography. Utilize editing techniques in line with art photographic practice. Understand the legal and ethical responsibilities of portrait photography. And Illustrate an ability to create a unified body of images
Light Mixing Project
Art Photograpghy
We were asked to create a series of images that involved a unique lighting technique. This project was loose and unique to the individual student. We had freedom to choose how we lit our pictures and our compositions.
Found Image Project
Art Photography
For this project we had to take an image we have taken or found and manipulate and edit the image in some sort of grid structure.
New Context Project
Photography
This project was meant to create a piece that puts an object/person/place in a new context. Then we moved to photoshop and lightroom to edit the piece and present it.
Darkroom
Project
Art Photography
For this project we were free to pick any subject manner. Once we had our photos we then had to move to the darkroom and make a contact sheet with 25+ photos and develop them in the darkroom. Once that process was done we then had to select one image as our final piece to present.
About Me
Design, and Art have been a part of my life as long as I can remember. I like to do a variety of different creative things but drawing and living in graphic shops is where I got my start. Art was something I could bond over with my late aunt for a long time, she opened my eyes with the various shops she was a part of since I was 8 years old. I quickly learned Design and Art is much more than what you look at, its how you get to the end result. Knowing this has caused me to not be able to pick a focus in Graphic Design and to truly trust, and enjoy the process.....
all of the process.
My goal now after Graduating with a Bachelor's in Graphic Design and Interactive Media from the University of Wisconsin Stout, is to make other people's visions come to life. Whether that's in a Picture, a Drawing, a Tattoo design, Business Design needs, personal Design needs, I want to work together to create something you're proud of.
